Two Thompson Scholarship Winners

This year the Department of Gender & Women's Studies was able to award two undergraduate Thompson Scholarships to Emily Morrissette and Michael Ross Jacobson.  The scholarship is named after Jean Alice Scharre Thompson who "was a high school teacher and educator who had a lifelong interest in and a commitment to Women's Rights and Women's Education..."

Both Emily and Michael are majors in Gender & Women's Studies, are committed to social justice, and exhibit many of the values seen in many GWS students.  Congratulations to both of them on this well-deserved award!
